Junior Research Groups

LIfBi's first Junior Research Group was established in 2016 and conducted research on "Gender Roles and Competences Across the Life Course" for a period of four years. The second Junior Research Group at LIfBi started work at the end of 2021 with the research focus "Educational Outcomes Across the Lifespan".

Bodies and Committees

The Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories was founded as an association in Berlin on May 29, 2013. The General Meeting of Members decides, among other things, upon changes to its statutes. The Board of Trustees advises and controls the Board of Directors. Their tasks include, for example, the appointment and exoneration of the members of the Board of Directors as well as approving the program budget. The Scientific Advisory Board advises the Board of Trustees on these tasks, considering recommendations by the Senate of the Leibniz Association. It regularly carries out measures of quality assurance in the scientific departments.

Representatives and Elected Offices

Representative officers or elected representatives deal with various tasks and issues concerning the organization. The main contact persons for external parties are the corporate Internal Data Protection unit and the ombudsperson. Furthermore, the LIfBi has elected representatives for its employees (Works Council) and doctoral candidates, representative officers for equal opportunities, inclusion, and safety, as well as corporate health management.
