Today the first result of the project “Educational Landscape of Upper Franconia, BiLO (Bildungslandschaft Oberfranken), which is funded by the Upper Franconia Foundation, has been released to the press at the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories.

On the premises of the LIfBi, the “Atlas Educational Landscape of Upper Franconia” was released to the press today. In the picture (from left): Johannes Hofmann, Dr. Ingrid Stöhr, Dr. Michaela Sixt, Prof. Dr. Hans-Günther Roßbach, and Dr. Götz Lechner (all LIfBi) as well as Andreas Heuberger (TV Oberfranken) und Irmtraud Fenn-Nebel (inFranken.de).

The “Atlas Educational Landscape of Upper Franconia” (available in German only) offers a comprehensive collection of key figures about the administrative region that are relevant and recommended for educational monitoring. In 13 profiles of the districts, respective key figures on early childhood, school, vocational, and adult education, as well as structural framework data on demographics, economy, and labor market are visualized for each district and compared against the Upper Franconian total. The stakeholders of the discussion about educational politics in the districts or independent towns can use this educational report as a basis for further insight into their own region. This ensures that informed political decisions can be taken.
