Summer School of the DFG Priority Programme 1646 “Education as a Lifelong Process. Analyzing Data of the National Educational Panel Study (NEPS)”


The third Summer School of the Priority Programme 1646 "Education as a Lifelong Process"—funded and initiated by the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG)—on “Longitudinal Analyses in Educational Research" took place on July 31–August 4 in cooperation with the LIfBi.

The Summer School offered of a one-week program with varied teaching and learning formats and a diverse range of international guests as well as distinguished scholars from different disciplines. In addition to theoretical lectures on topics such as language development and gender segregation in the labor market, methodological workshops (e.g., growth curve modeling), were offered. Also, leading experts organized discussion sessions with Ph.D. students from the Priority Programme. A course on scientific writing for international journal publications rounded off the Summer School, which had a total participation count of 40 scholars.
