The Personal Assistant to the Director supports the Director in her activities within the science system. This includes, in particular, accompanying strategic planning and preparing of information for decision-making processes. Another focus is on the co-development and design of project ideas as well as on topics regarding science transfer and research networks. Communication with internal and external (international) actors from the scientific as well as political and administrative sectors is also amongst the major tasks.

Committees and Reporting

On the one hand, the department supports the director in reporting on the work of the entire institute - e.g. for funding agencies of the federal and state governments. On the other hand, it prepares and follows up on the meetings of LIfBi's supervisory bodies, including the internationally staffed Scientific Advisory Board, as well as the various committees and meetings of the nationwide NEPS network.

Networking with other cooperation partners and scientific organizations, in particular the Leibniz Association, also falls within the scope of responsibility of the unit.

Corporate Communications

The communication of our research results as well as the transfer of our scientific expertise is a major concern for us at the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories. The Communication Department is the interface and service provider both internally and externally. In our press and public relations work we prepare the most important topics and activities of LIfBi, for example in the annual report, in the LIfBi News and in the newsletter LIfBi info. Our transfer formats "LIfBi Forschung kompakt" and "NEPS Corona & Bildung" present research results of high social relevance in a manner that is accessible to the general public.
