Dröscher presented a poster about the research project “Assessment of Language Competencies: Validities of Different Items on Self-Evaluation”, which will be analyzed using the data of the first wave of interviews and tests of adolescents in the ReGES study. The project is based on the fact that the self-evaluations do not match the actual language competencies in many cases.
The aim is to explain whether this is caused by the survey method, for example, the phrasing of items. Should the validity of other item phrasings be higher, this finding could be important for the selection of items for the next wave, as well as for other studies.
