Dr. Hanno Kruse presented his current research project at LIfBi.Â
Schools are more than just learning opportunities; they are local microcosms where young people build new social relationships beyond their family, form tastes and opinions, and consolidate their sense of belonging. Facing the challenge of an increasingly diverse student body, these local microcosms differ as to how strongly they evoke boundaries along ethnic lines.
The lecture aimed to explain these differences and focused on structural circumstances in the school context.
