Scientific Use File of the data from Wave I (2014) of PIAAC-L now available
PIAAC-L (Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies-Longitudinal) continues PIAAC on a national level in Germany. PIAAC, a study of the OECD, also known as the PISA study for adults, analyzed the everyday competencies of adults in an international comparison. The data of the first wave (2014) of PIAAC-L are now available as Scientific Use Files via the GESIS data archive.
The study is conducted by researchers of GESIS–Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences, the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories (LIfBi), and the German Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP) at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW). Around 3,700 people in Germany, aged between 18 and 67 years, who have already participated in PIAAC, as well as 2,500 additional persons living in the same household were interviewed for PIAAC-L. In total, the survey is conducted in three waves from 2014 to 2017. The longitudinal study is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung, BMBF).
