Professor Marcus Hasselhorn, German Institute for International Educational Research (DIPF), led through an evening of keynote speeches and poster presentations on current research findings as well as intense and fruitful debates of various aspects around the topic of “Educational Political Reforms: Results, Need for Action, and Potential”. During this discussion, it was the tension between educational research and educational political reforms that became particularly evident. The issue of the format and possibilities of political consultation was also discussed in this context.
