10th meeting of the LIfBi Board of Trustees
Chaired by Prof. Dr. Rudolf Tippelt from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, the LIfBi Board of Trustees convened for their 10th meeting on October 24, 2016.
The Director of LIfBi, Prof. Dr. Hans-Günther Roßbach, gave his report on the developments of the Institute since the Board of Trustees’ last meeting in March 2016. Afterwards, Prof. Dr. Walter Müller, Representative of the LIfBi Scientific Advisory Board, informed the Members of the Board of Trustees about the Scientific Advisory Board’s evaluation of the work at the Institute. The main focus of the 10th meeting of the LIfBi Board of Trustees was on discussing the joint appointment of the new Director of the LIfBi together with the University of Bamberg and the appointment of the heads of the Institute’s scientific departments. Other key topics during the meeting included the Institute’s program budget 2018 and the annual statement of accounts for 2015. Finally, Prof. Dr. Sandra Buchholz, Chair of the NEPS Annual General Meeting, reported on the activities of the NEPS Network Committee.
The following members with voting rights were in attendance (in alphabetical order): Dr. Georg Brun (alternate for Ministerialrat Dr. Johannes Eberle, Bavarian State Ministry of Education, Science and the Arts), Prof. Dr. Marlis Buchmann (University of Zurich), Prof. Dr. Jutta Heckhausen (University of California, Irvine, via conference call), Prof. Dr. Dr. habil. Godehard Ruppert (President of the University of Bamberg), Prof. Dr. Rudolf Tippelt (Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich), Dr. Doerte Treuheit (alternate for Kornelia Haugg, Federal Ministry of Education and Research), and Prof. Dr. Stefan C. Wolter (University of Bern).
Furthermore, as per the statutes, all members of the LIfBi Board of Directors were present in their advisory function. Also in attendance in their advisory function were Dr. Michael Bayer, representing the NEPS staff, Prof. Dr. Sandra Buchholz (University of Bamberg) as Chair of the NEPS Annual General Meeting and the NEPS Network Committee, Prof. Dr. Walter Müller (University of Mannheim), representing the Scientific Advisory Board, as well as Dr. Bernd Schaal (State Institute for School Quality and Educational Research) and Anja Steinhofer-Adam (Hessen State Ministry for Higher Education, Research and the Arts, via conference call), both representing the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany. Linda Teuteberg (Federal Ministry of Education and Research) attended the meeting as a guest.
