In July 2014, Robert Polgar was appointed as Executive Director of Administration of the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories at the University of Bamberg. As a member of the Board of Directors he managed the Institute’s Administrative Department and was responsible, among other things, for the budget and personnel administration. During his six years in office he has made a significant contribution to setting up the organizational structure of LIfBi and encouraging the growth of the young Institute.
“We very much regret Robert Polgar’s departure, yet at the same time would like to congratulate the Leibniz-Institut für Wissensmedien (IWM) in Tübingen on appointing such an experienced and committed colleague. After his long time in office as Executive Director of Administration at LIfBi he is leaving behind a more than capable Administrative Department where our professional staff are highly motivated and collaborating for the good of the entire Institute and its employees. On behalf of the entire Institute, I would like to wish him all the best!” said LIfBi Director, Prof. Dr. Cordula Artelt.
Born in Heidelberg, Dr. Polgar will remain within the Leibniz Association and become Head of Administration at the Leibniz-Institut für Wissensmedien Tübingen in his home state of Baden-Württemberg.
“Even though I am looking forward to facing new challenges, I am leaving LIfBi and Bamberg behind with a heavy heart. To witness and take part in shaping a young institute being established throughout its founding years has been a profound experience for me—both personally and professionally”, remarks Robert Polgar.
On behalf of all LIfBi staff, the Board of Directors sincerely thanks Robert Polgar for his many years of committed work and sends him all the best wishes for his personal and professional future.
