During my time at LIfBi there was a lot of change, but also one constant: the shared passion for research that connected everyone at all times. Whether at conferences, colloquia or in the coffee kitchen. Together with the great framework conditions and data sets, this created the ideal framework for my doctorate and our project research.
Dr. Jan-David Freund
Former NEPS Stage 1
LIfBi is so much more than just educational research for me. Colleagues from various disciplines explore fundamental societal questions, but also the methodological challenges of data collection and analysis. For my own research, this exchange, together with the extensive data resources, is incredibly enriching and inspiring. A fantastic place to work!
Gundula Zoch
PostDoc at LIfBi
For me, LIfBi means passionate - interdisciplinary - progressive - colourful - international. A team that pulls together can achieve great things. I am grateful for the wonderful time I had with many great colleagues at the institute.
Dr. Christian Lorenz
Former Working Unit Early Education
Through my work at LIfBi and especially on the National Education Panel Study, I have learned what it means to collect and analyse survey data. With all the ups and downs that come with it. I got to know potentials, but also a scientific field in which there is still so incredibly much to explore. The topic of lifelong learning is essential for our social progress.
Prof. Dr. Sabine Zinn
Former Head of Working Unit Statistical Survey Methods
For me, LIfBi is more than just my employer. It accompanied me on my way to becoming an adult. My first milestone in my professional career was the varied training as an Office Management Assistant. Since then, I have been able to contribute and develop myself excellently at LIfBi and am now a Human Resource Assistant. I very much appreciate the trust placed in me and the flexibility.
Annalena Popp
Human Resource Representative
