Ethics Committee

The Ethics Committee reviews research projects conducted on behalf of LIfBi. The review by the committee serves LIfBi researchers as an opportunity to engage in exchange as well as to examine, reflect and, if necessary, optimize research designs with regard toquestions of research ethics. The ethics committee considers itself as an advisory and supportive body.

For the detailed concept of LIfBi’s Ethics Committee see here:

Please direct general inquiries to: ethik-kommission@lifbi.de.

Note: The inaugural meeting of the Ethics Committee will take place in early 2023.

The members of the Ethics Committee appointed by LIfBi are Simon Dickopf, Dr. Lydia Kleine, Dr. Kathrin Lockl, Dr. Patrick Rummel, and Dr. Monja Schmitt. As the internal data protection officer, Brigitte Bogensperger is an associate member.

Research projects are reviewed on the basis of a self-disclosure form (available on the intranet), a project abstract (description of type, design and objectives of the study; max. 1 page) as well as survey instruments already available. Please send any documents to be reviewed by the Ethics Committee to: ethik-antrag@lifbi.de.
