6th International NEPS Conference: Call for Presentations

The Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories will host the 6th International NEPS Conference on June 8, 2021. This year the main focus of the conference will be on the advancement of methodological practices in educational large-scale assessments. To this end, the keynote address by Matthias von Davier (Boston College, USA) and an opening presentation by Suzanne Jak (University of Amsterdam, NL) will address current topics in modeling and analysis of complex data structures. Conference papers can be submitted until April 15, 2021.

The NEPS conference brings together national and international researchers from different disciplines once a year to present ongoing projects and recent results. In addition, the annual “NEPS Publication Award” for outstanding publications based on NEPS data will be presented at the conference. Nominations for this year’s publication award are open until April 30, 2021.

Proposals for the main theme of the conference can be submitted as of now. Presentations do not have to be based on NEPS data. Abstracts can be emailed to neps-conference@lifbi.de by April 15, 2021. Details on the Call for Presentations can be found on the website below.

The keynote lecture by Matthias von Davier (Boston College, USA) and an opening presentation by Suzanne Jak (University of Amsterdam, NL) will highlight current trends in modeling and analysis of complex data structures. A pre-conference workshop on June 7, 2021 with Carolin Hahnel (DIPF) will also provide an opportunity to learn about the analysis of log data from computer-based assessments.

Due to the uncertain situation caused by the pandemic, the conference will be conducted via videoconference. The conference language is English, the workshop on log data analysis will be conducted in German.
