Cordula Artelt Joins Advisory Board of IWM

The director of the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories (LIfBi), Professor Cordula Artelt, has been appointed to the advisory board of the Leibniz-Institut für Wissensmedien (IWM) in Tübingen. The appointment was made in January 2022 by Theresia Bauer, Baden-Württemberg's Minister for Science, Research and the Arts.

"The appointment to the IWM's Scientific Advisory Board is both a pleasure and an honor for me, as it also strengthens the close ties that exist - not only in technical terms - between our institutes," said Cordula Artelt.

In November 2021, the IWM's Board of Trustees approved Artelt's appointment to the Scientific Advisory Board. This advises the institute's underlying foundation, "Medien in der Bildung," its governing bodies and the institute itself on fundamental professional and interdisciplinary issues relating to the scientific and technical work program, collaborations and medium-term research and development planning. The Advisory Board is composed of seven international and German scientists from different disciplines. Its individual members are appointed for a period of four years. In addition to Cordula Artelt, three more new members have joined the Advisory Board.

In addition to her new position on the IWM Advisory Board, the LIfBi director is active in other bodies, including the Advisory Board of the Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences (GESIS) and the interdisciplinary Commission for Pandemic Research of the German Research Foundation.
