LIfBi positively evaluated by the Scientific Advisory Board

On 18 and 19 October 2023, the Institute was audited by the LIfBi Scientific Advisory Board. In their final report, which LIfBi received at the end of December, the Board Members recognized the excellent performance of the Institute and its departments.

In their statement, the members of the Scientific Advisory Board assess the research, infrastructure, and transfer work conducted over the past three years in particular and confirm the excellent performance and impressive development of the Leibniz Institute since the last evaluation in 2019. They emphasise “LIfBi’s great efforts in becoming an outstanding institution that promotes, conducts, and communicates longitudinal educational research”.

LIfBi Director Cordula Artelt welcomes the appreciative statement: “The audit by the Scientific Advisory Board is an important indicator for us. On the one hand, it helps us to assess how comprehensively we have already implemented the recommendations from the last Leibniz evaluation. On the other hand, we receive valuable impetus for certain activities that we need to tackle in the coming years."

As an “interim evaluation”, the audit is an important step on the way to the next evaluation of the LIfBi by the Leibniz Association, which is scheduled for 2026.
