LIfBi invites to the 8th International NEPS Conference

The 8th International NEPS Conference will take place on November 9 and 10, 2023 as a symposium on the topic „Survey Data Linked to Administrative Data: NEPS-ADIAB & Co.“ in presence at LIfBi. Registration for free participation will be possible via the website starting July 1. Abstracts for oral and poster presentations can be submitted until July 31.

For the eighth time, LIfBi is organizing an International NEPS Conference to bring together researchers from different disciplines and at different stages of their careers to discuss current projects. The thematic framework of this year's conference is the NEPS-ADIAB linked data portfolio. Contributions from work with combined survey data and administrative information are welcome, as are presentations illustrating the potential of linked data resources for educational, occupational, and labor market research.

In addition to the paper sessions, the program includes a keynote lecture by Prof. Bernd Fitzenberger, Ph.D. (Director of the Institute for Employment Research, Chair of Quantitative Labor Economics at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg), a poster session and an open space discussion on the handling of NEPS-ADIAB data. The traditional announcement of the 1,000 EUR „NEPS Publication Award“ for the best article or monograph of the past year based on NEPS data will also take place. Suitable contributions can be nominated until August 31, 2023.

The symposium will take place at LIfBi in Bamberg. Information about the venue can be found on the website. It is intended to set up an online option to allow passive participation from outside LIfBi. In any case, prior registration is required. The event will be in English; participation is free of charge.
