6/7/2024 NEPS in the media: Children of older mothers are performing better in math SPIEGEL online reports on a study by the Federal Institute for Population Research which shows that children of older mothers are better at math. According to the study, the age of the mother at birth has an influence on the child's cognitive skills. Data from starting cohort 1 "newborns" of the National Educational Panel Study (NEPS) was used for the study.
