Prof. Dr. Cordula Artelt voted into Senate of the DFG (German Research Foundation)

For the next four years, the NEPS professor will be the exclusive representative of the field of educational sciences and education research in the Senate of the DFG (German Research Foundation). The Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories (LIfBi) cordially congratulates Professor Artelt!

Prof. Dr. Cordula Artelt holds the Chair for Empirical Educational Research at the University of Bamberg. She is Scientific Head of the Operational Unit “Competence Development Across the Life Course” of the National Educational Panel Study (NEPS) at the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories (LIfBi) and, at the same time, also Chairperson of the NEPS Annual General Meeting.

In July, Prof. Dr. Cordula Artelt was voted into the DFG Senate for four years. There, she will make important decisions in the field of research funding alongside other members. The Senate is the central scientific committee of the DFG and consists of 39 members from different disciplines. With a total budget of about €2.8 billion (in 2014), the DFG is the largest third-party funder in Germany.
