The joint project DiSo-SGW aims to record and optimize the knowledge and attitude of teachers with regard to the targeted and target group-oriented use of the possibilities of digital media (content) or tools. A special focus is on digital sovereignty and the reflection of chances and risks of digital media. In the joint project, innovative approaches for digital teaching and learning of languages, social sciences and economics as well as their sustainable implementation are developed with the aim of strengthening the digital competence profile of teachers. LIfBi is particularly involved in the monitoring, evaluation and transfer of these approaches.

In addition to the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories, the universities of Bamberg, Bremen, Chemnitz, Erlangen-Nuremberg, Göttingen, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich, Münster, Regensburg, Tübingen and Würzburg are participating in the joint project DiSo-SGW. The coordination of the network is located at the Center for Teacher Education (ZLB) at the Otto-Friedrich-University Bamberg. DiSo-SGW is one of four competence centers of the Kompetenzverbund lernen:digital.

The project is based on the cooperation of educational research, practice and administration. The transfer of results takes place both internally within the project and externally through collaboration with other institutions. Subject-specific development, research and transfer groups (EFT) will be formed to develop and research digital and hybrid formats and tools for teacher training. These will be empirically investigated and optimized in collaboration with experts from the fields of education, psychology and digital technology. The developed training modules will be disseminated and implemented nationwide, among others by training institutes. A barrier-free web portal will be set up to ensure access to DiSo-SGW offerings nationwide.

To achieve the project goal of expanding teachers' digital sovereignty, three internal development, research, and transfer groups work together in DiSo-SGW. These cooperation and transfer structures enable a systematic implementation of the advanced training offers, which would not be possible in comparable quality by individual projects alone.

LIfBi and the University of Bamberg are in charge of the EFT group C "Monitoring, Evaluation and Transfer". The work program includes quality assurance in the development of training modules, networking and exchange across different phases, and evaluation of practice transfer in the project. Data from LIfBi research and transfer projects (MultiTex and DIFA) will be analyzed and insights for the design of online-based learning environments will be derived. Also, instruments and tests that have been and are being developed in the context of the National Educational Panel (NEPS) and at LIfBi on the topic of digital literacy/sovereignty will be used to successfully implement the transfer of the training modules. During the first two years of the project, an project-internal transfer takes place, with an increased focus on the systematic expansion of the transfer in the last six months of the project.
