Cooperations

LIfBi is a member of the Leibniz Association and an affiliated institute of the Otto Friedrich University of Bamberg. In addition, the institute is part of numerous (inter)national networks and cooperations.

Engagement within the Leibniz Association

Within the Leibniz Association, LIfBi works with numerous cooperation partners. For example, LIfBi is intensively involved in the Leibniz Education Research Network. LIfBi is also home to the business and coordination office of the Leibniz Competence Center Early Education and the Leibniz Competence Center Procurement.

LIfBi actively supports the Leibniz Association's promotion of young researchers. Young scientists at the institute benefit from the various networks for young researchers as well as from other offers of the Leibniz Association, and also actively contribute here themselves.

Close Connection to the University of Bamberg

As an affiliated institute of the Otto-Friedrich-University of Bamberg, LIfBi maintains close cooperation with the university, both in administration and infrastructure, as well as on the content level. The director and the heads of the three scientific departments are appointed in joint procedures. There is close scientific exchange with professors at the University of Bamberg within the framework of numerous projects and plans, above all the National Educational Panel Study (NEPS) and within the research focus on empirical social research on education and work.

In addition, the university's offerings for continuing education and career advancement should be emphasized, such as the Bamberg Graduate School of Social Sciences (BAGSS), the graduate center Trimberg Research Academy (TRAc), or the offerings of the university's Women's Office.
