LIfBi International Exchange Program

Internationalization – term and objectives

Internationalization at LIfBi is not limited to but includes three main task areas: continuously increasing the number of publications in internationally renowned journals, intensifying efforts in recruiting international staff, and providing opportunities for research stays for guest researchers as well as for LIfBi researchers to conduct research stays abroad.

Advancing internationalization at LIfBi pursues three main and interrelated objectives: further strengthening research collaborations to expand the Institute’s international outreach, supporting its staff by creating opportunities for career development, and gaining visibility to further consolidate LIfBi’s standing in the international scientific community.

Incoming guest researchers – program lines

At LIfBi there are three program lines for incoming guest researchers. These program lines aim at researchers in different stages of their respective careers and provide for stays of about ten days up to four months.

The program also encompasses the opportunity already established for LIfBi staff to conduct international guest stays via the “Interne Forschungsförderung”. Typically, guest stays of four weeks to three months are envisaged. In exceptional cases, shorter stays are also possible. It is recommended that LIfBi staff consult the relevant program document for further details.
