The Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories has the legal form of a registered association. The General Meeting of Members is a body of the association, which was founded on May 29, 2013 in Berlin. According to § 3 of the Statutes, any university or research institution as well as any institution actively dealing with questions of education is eligible for membership of the association. The General Meeting of Members convenes at least every four years and decides on amendment of the statutes and the dissolution of the association.
