Survey Technology

The Survey Technology work unit develops and operates the technical infrastructure necessary for conducting computer-assisted or web-based surveys. By means of a database-supported collection of survey-relevant metadata, the work unit enables, among other things, a largely automated programming of web-based questionnaires and coordinates the technical exchange of many different internal and external project partners.

In addition, the Survey Technology work unit is responsible for the secure storage of NEPS contact data in compliance with data protection laws, as well as for the operation and ongoing development of the digital systems required for this purpose. In close cooperation with the Study Communication work unit, Survey Technology is also responsible for the permanent maintenance of the NEPS contact data.
