The working unit “Personality” includes projects investigating motivational and personality-related aspects on the one hand (NEPS Personality) and, on the other hand, brings together the work of the LIfBi for its contribution to national educational reporting (National Report on Education).

The working unit focuses on the development and implementation of instruments for measuring psychological constructs that provide insight into personality and social psychological aspects of educational trajectories, thus bridging the gap between pedagogical, psychological, and sociological questions in the field of educational research.

In the context of our contribution to national educational reporting, aspects of the characteristics of individual life courses that are monitored by the working unit are taken up and integrated into the general framework of the longitudinal analysis of educational trajectories.
