Vorsitzender des Stiftungsrats der Oberfrankenstiftung informiert sich über den Start des Forschungsprojekts „BildungsLandschaft Oberfranken (BiLO)“

Regierungspräsident Wilhelm Wenning, Vorsitzender des Stiftungsrats der  Oberfrankenstiftung, war am 15. Juli 2014 zu Gast am Leibniz-Institut für Bildungsverläufe (LIfBi). Zusammen mit Eckhard Wiltsch, Geschäftsführer der Oberfrankenstiftung, und dessen Stellvertreterin, Christine Schnörer, informierte sich Wenning über den gelungenen Start des von der Oberfrankenstiftung finanzierten Projekts „BildungsLandschaft Oberfranken (BiLO)“.

Nach einer kurzen Begrüßung durch den Direktor des LIfBi, Prof. Dr. Hans-Günther Roßbach, präsentierte Dr. Michaela Sixt die Grundzüge und Besonderheiten des Forschungsprojektes. Am Beispiel Oberfrankens untersucht das Projekt BiLO regionale Bildungsungleichheit. Der Fokus auf Raum und Raumbezug von Handeln schließt dabei eine längere Zeit vernachlässigte Forschungslücke.

Regierungspräsident Wilhelm Wenning, Vorsitzender des Stiftungsrats der Oberfrankenstiftung, betont die Bedeutung des Projekts: „Wir brauchen Transparenz zur Bildungssituation in Oberfranken, um gezielte Maßnahmen in allen Bildungsbereichen entwickeln zu können.“ In einem „Atlas BildungsLandschaft Oberfranken“ wird das Projekt seine Ergebnisse verständlich aufbereiten und kartographisch visualisiert der interessierten Öffentlichkeit zur Verfügung stellen.
