Workshop „Multistate analysis of life histories with R”

On February 23, 2011, Prof. Frans J. Willekens, Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (Link zu NIDI), gave an all-day workshop on „Multistate analysis of life histories with R“ at the head office of the National  Educational Panel Study in Bamberg.

After a short introduction into the statistic program R (http://www.r-project.org/), he presented the Biograph package (http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/misc/cran/web/packages/Biograph/index.html) This package which he wrote himself is able to represent longitudinal data graphically and analyze them statistically. This package could be useful for analyzing the life courses which are surveyed retrospectively in NEPS.
