LIfBi as an Employer

Collective wage agreement and additional social benefits, equal opportunities and equality, offers for family-friendly work and company health management – discover what LIfBi has to offer you as an employer.

Collective Wage Agreement and mobile work

Remuneration in accordance with the collective wage agreement for the federal states (TV-L West). Our employees benefit from a company pension plan through deferred compensation via the Versorgungsverband bundes- und Landesgeförderter Unternehmen (VBLU). The option of mobile working can be used for up to 40% of contractual working hours.

Equality and equal opportunities at LIfBi

Creating a working environment free of prejudice and discrimination is a central concern of LIfBi. The aim is to ensure the best possible conditions for the individual organization of life in the area of conflict between work, family and care. Gender equality is understood as a cross-sectional task that includes all areas of the institute. In this, LIfBi is committed to the principles of the Leibniz Association.

LIfBi attaches particular importance to not reducing equality and equal opportunities to balanced gender relations. A reflective and sensitive approach to the topic, especially to unconscious (gender-specific) stereotypes and prejudices is considered essential at the institute. For this reason, advanced training courses for managers on these topics are an integral part of the internal continuing education program. Last but not least, these topics are also reflected in the Institute's research.

Compatibility of Family, Care and Career

Our institute attaches particular importance to the compatibility of family life and work. A specially equipped parent-child room with a crib, changing table, toys, and a workstation makes it possible to work at the institute when no other care is available. LIfBi also cooperates with Ferienabenteuer Bamberg, which offers childcare during school vacations. The children's bring-along day on the school-free Day of Prayer and Repentance, the annual Mini-Leibniz Week, and the possibility to use the babysitter pool of the University of Bamberg are also part of the offers for family-friendly working.

Social Interaction

Offers for health promotion, an annual company outing, the Christmas party, regulars' tables organized by the employees and participation in sporting events such as the university run and the LIfBi kicker tournament ensure good social interaction.
