Survey Coordination

Survey Coordination ensures that the many stakeholders, processes, and components of a survey work together effectively.

To achieve this, the survey managers in the department assume key steering responsibilities throughout the entire Survey Life Cycle and across multiple concurrent surveys. They consolidate information, coordinate workflows, and create the organizational conditions necessary for the reliable, efficient, and quality-assured implementation of complex LIfBi surveys.

To this end, they align survey designs, processes, and resources; develop and monitor implementation plans and timelines; are responsible for project, process, and risk management; and ensure that insights gained from previous studies as well as methodological developments in the field are systematically incorporated into the preparation of new data collections at LIfBi. This work is based on established project and survey management frameworks, extensive practical experience, and digital tools such as the LIfBi Study Manager, which, among other things, enables data-driven survey management.

The unit’s responsibilities also include developing and documenting implementation procedures, coordinating logistical processes related to materials and incentives, and centrally documenting and archiving study-related information and materials. In this way, Survey Coordination ensures transparency, traceability, and planning reliability for all stakeholders while maintaining the availability of experience and knowledge for future surveys and data users alike.
